Hurry up and wait

Today was our last day at work! Woohoo! The official start of our adventure! But also a little melancholy, with some great people here in RI.

Em, walking out of her "office" for the last time.

We're loaded down with groceries, diesel, extra diesel on deck, full water tank, extra gas for the gennie and dinghy.

Packing the groceries away.

We actually have so much stuff that the boat is sitting 3+ inches deeper in the water.

Waiting for the weather always seems to mark the beginning of our trips. Leaving Maryland in the In Sanity 8 years ago was a particularly snowy and windy occasion.

25 kts is a lot of wind. Running down wind and down swell with the current makes it easier, but we're definitely not leaving tomorrow, as originally hoped. Sunday looks lumpy but with potential.

  1. I love loading up a boat for a long trip and then seeing how much lower she sits in the water
